TR Stabilisation were engaged by Willmott Dixon at tender stage to develop an alternative proposal for the remediation and ground improvements for the construction of the new Merseyside police HQ, the initial design warranted piled foundations with suspended floor slabs due to existing underlying ground conditions, TR Stabilisation working closely with Willmott Dixon and there appointed design consultants developed an alternative value engineering solution.

TR Stabilisation developed a comprehensive proposal to address the foundation proposals, adopting ground bearing floor slabs and surface stabilisation to mitigate / reduce disposal and importation of engineering materials, this consisted of a number of ground improvement techniques, such as roller dynamic compaction (RDC), foundation soils stabilisation to improve soils bearing capacity and surface stabilisation to mitigate capping construction.

TR Stabilisation undertook the entire scope of works to allow Willmott Dixon construction contractors to follow on to best benefit construction program, the works also included on site re-processing , and reclamation of existing materials.

TR Stabilisation worked closely with Willmott Dixon, Designers and geotechnical consultants to delivery this scheme in the most cost effective manner and with the alternative ground improvement solution, along with full verification testing to demonstrate compliance with the performance specification and design criteria.
